From I-5 North, take Exit #165 Seneca Street on the west/left side of I-5. Get into the right lane of the exit ramp and turn right at the first light onto 6th Avenue. At the next light, turn right onto University Street, staying left of the concrete median (the lanes to the right of the median will put you back onto I-5). Follow around to the left and you?ll see signs directing you to parking for One and Two Union Square. Floyd|Snider is located in Two Union Square, Suite 600.

From I-5 Southbound

Senior Environmental Professional for Leadership Role

Floyd|Snider is seeking a Senior Environmental Professional to join our Seattle office and help lead the growth of our Uplands Remediation sector in years to come. This position requires a dedicated professional engaged in delivering consistent and reliable results and effectively communicating with colleagues, clients, and regulators. Floyd|Snider is looking for a highly motivated and collaborative individual who will be responsible for management of uplands and waterfront remediation projects and associated client accounts, oversight and review of technical documentation, and mentoring and supervision of staff. Major Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term strategic client relationships.

  • Possess demonstrated experience performing and supervising complex environmental projects involving environmental due diligence, site characterization, remedial action planning, property development, permitting and regulatory negotiations, and construction oversight.

  • Provide senior-level management and mentoring in support of projects and staff development.

  • Provide senior-level technical support (including field support, as necessary) to projects.

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations. Provide environmental risk management to reduce liability exposures for client operations.

  • Effectively manage the preparation of proposals and project deliverables in accordance with Floyd|Snider quality standards.

  • Remain current with industry trends, emerging environmental issues, market information, and competitor knowledge to proactively identify potential opportunities and forecast business projections and growth targets.

  • Collaborate with other Floyd|Snider senior staff on the strategic direction of the firm, and corporate initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and technical knowledge, strategic thinking.

  • Demonstrated time management skills, resulting in the ability to manage multiple client relationships and prioritize time and resources accordingly.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Washington State MTCA rules and regulations, and federal rules and regulations including CERCLA, RCRA, NPDES, and TSCA.

  • Demonstrated success in building and managing consultant teams, and working collaboratively in a team environment.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting.

  • Registered PG/LG or PE in State of Washington preferred.
