Port of Tacoma Phase 1s

FloydSnider prepared a series of 10 Phase 1s for the Port of Tacoma at various industrial locations along the Blair Peninsula. These sites, amongst others, included the former Tacoma Steam Plant, the PQ Corporation sodium silica plant, the Phillip Services hazardous waste treatment facility, and several large warehouses and undeveloped lots. The Phase 1s were made complex by the known presence of contamination at several of these sites, and the location of other parcels in and around the defunct CleanCare hazardous waste facility. While the Phase 1s were individually done, they relied on a common set of regional contamination and historical conditions that was developed from review of available technical and historical information sources.
