Pacific Functional Fluids

Floyd|Snider assisted Pacific Functional Fluids (PFF) in conducting an All Known, Available, and Reasonable Methods of Treatment (AKART) analysis for the stormwater treatment system at their facility in Tacoma, Washington. As part of the NPDES renewal requirements, the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) requested that PFF conduct an AKART analysis to determine if the existing treatment system was appropriate for the facility. Floyd|Snider evaluated the efficiency of the treatment train system in place at PFF and compared it to other available approved technologies that were appropriate for this type of facility.  Floyd|Snider then conducted an economic evaluation to determine the cost benefit for the removal efficiencies of each technology.  The AKART analysis showed that the existing treatment system met the treatment limits and was determined to be AKART and would continue to operate at the facility.  Floyd|Snider also provides on-going stormwater services to PFF including review and updates of their Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan (SPCC).
