Lynn Grochala

Environmental Scientist

Lynn Grochala is an environmental scientist and project manager with over 19 years of experience in the private environmental consulting industry with a focus on environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, environmental data collection and interpretation, fate and transport, remedial action evaluation and implementation, and regulatory compliance for upland and waterfront sites. She has completed and managed a variety of field activities, including remedial system pilot testing, construction oversight, operation and maintenance, and compliance sampling; soil boring and monitoring well installation oversight; soil, sediment, surface water, stormwater, and groundwater sampling; soil gas surveys and indoor air sampling; hydraulic conductivity testing; soil excavation oversight; tank removal oversight; and emergency response and assessment. She has vast experience designing and conducting oversight for remedial actions that include soil vapor extraction, air sparging, in situ chemical oxidation, thermal remediation, and groundwater extraction and treatment. 

Lynn has extensive experience managing complex environmental assessment and cleanup projects, providing regulatory compliance assistance for a variety of client types, and preparing technical reports in accordance with MTCA, RCRA, CERCLA, and TSCA. Her technical expertise has been applied to sites contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, polychlorinated biphenyls, heavy metals, and pentachlorophenol at commercial and industrial facilities in the Northeast and the Pacific Northwest.

Lynn holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo.
