Kara Hitchko, MS

Environmental Toxicologist

Kara Hitchko is an environmental toxicologist with experience working on issues related to human health and ecological risk assessment, and in-water and upland environmental investigation and remediation projects under the Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Kara excels in technical writing and is adept at preparing clear and concise remedial investigation/feasibility study reports, data reports, and technical memoranda. Her work also includes data analysis and interpretation and developing and implementing sampling and analysis and quality assurance project plans. Kara has planned and implemented sediment investigations in fresh water and marine locations in Washington, Oregon, and New York. She also has extensive experience with tissue sampling and water quality monitoring.

Kara holds a graduate degree (MS) in Toxicology from Oregon State University and an undergraduate degree (BS) in Environmental Science from Western Washington University.
