2025 Engineering Internship
In 2025, Floyd|Snider offered a summer internship position to Lexi Huwiler, a senior at Seattle University studying Civil Engineering with an Environmental Specialization. Lexi joined the Floyd|Snider team and immediately started supporting staff on various projects. She assisted field staff with collection of sediment and groundwater samples and with post-field event data processing and interpretation. Lexi also aided in the development of technical reports such as engineering design and construction completion reports, and supported the initial development of sediment cleanup design drawings using AutoDesk Civil 3D. Lexi will continue to support the firm part-time during the school year.
We ensure that when we have internships, they are meaningful for the students and promote ample opportunities for growth. Our internship program provides students with exposure to field work at a variety of site typologies, office responsibilities, and professional development opportunities that support career goals. They are provided with mentors to assist in managing workload and work with staff from many teams across the firm.
Congratulations, Lexi, on a successful internship!
