Brett Beaulieu to present at the Washington Hydrogeology Symposium

Area of transitional zone investigation on the Snohomish River in Everett, Washington

Principal and Senior Hydrogeologist Brett Beaulieu, LHG, will be presenting on Transitional Zone Monitoring Approaches at Marine and Riverfront Cleanup Sites in the Pacific Northwest at the Washington Hydrogeology Symposium on May 12, 2026.

Brett will describe recent experience with transitional zone water (TZW) monitoring applications at three cleanup sites in the region. He will share field data collection and evaluation methods used to confirm arsenic concentrations discharging to estuarine surface water and sediments in the Snohomish River, identify groundwater discharge locations to focus a Willamette River investigation, and estimate metals attenuation in groundwater based on mixing with surface water in a Chelan County stream.
