The Climbing Advocate Award honors individuals who embody the spirit of stewardship, conservation, community organization, and advocacy for the climbing world. Gabe, an indigenous and Chicano climber with over two decades of experience, has been a passionate leader behind numerous stewardship projects across Washington State, including development of new climbing areas. His commitment extends beyond the rock walls. Gabe strives to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for climbers of all backgrounds, ensuring that the climbing community remains open and supportive for new climbers.
