Dr. Allison Geiselbrecht, Floyd|Snider Principal, took center stage at the ASTM training conducted at the Sediment Management Work Group’s Fall Sponsor Forum in October, as well as at SETAC North America in November. In collaboration with her co-instructors, Eric Litman (right) and Dr. Leyla Shams (left) of NewFields Environmental, Dr. Geiselbrecht (center) delivered a comprehensive presentation on the core ASTM sediment guides, including a framework for risk-based corrective actions (E3240), analytical methods for sediment corrective actions (E3163), monitoring sediment corrective actions (E3164), developing representative sediment background concentrations (E3242, E3344, and E3382), and non-aqueous phase liquid mobility and migration in sediment (E3248, E3268, E3281, E3282, and E3300).

As one of the authors who assisted in several of these international sediment guides, Dr. Geiselbrecht provided participants with her expertise in the ASTM sediment guides and her applied experience with sediment corrective actions.
