Floyd|Snider Associate Principle Dr. Allison Geiselbrecht presented at the COPRI PORTS 2013 Conference held in Seattle, Washington. Her presentation; Port of Seattle Terminal 10: From Superfund to Active Use, discussed the successful redevelopment of the Port of Seattle Terminal 10 property on the Duwamish River in 2011. Her presentation reviewed some of the challenges associated with redeveloping a closed Superfund site, including coordination with EPA and former property owners and response parties, and ensuring redevelopment design considers on-site contamination and existing remedial action infrastructure. Megan McCullough, P.E. provided construction management support on the project and is a co-author.
