Earlier this month, Floyd|Snider hosted an event for the Western Washington University chapter of the Society for Women in Engineering (SWE). SWE, and our special guests from KPFF Engineers, joined us at the office for an overview of available careers in environmental, civil, and mechanical engineering, and highlights from some of our successful project team collaborations. During a panel discussion on career paths, students heard tips on interviewing and advice for navigating the engineering world as a woman. Students also learned about the role restoration and sustainability play in our field and had the opportunity to speak one-on-one with engineers, scientists, and Western grads.
