Floyd|Snider Staff Present at Air and Waste Management Association PNWIS

Jessi Massingale and Tessa Gardner-Brown recently spoke at the Pacific Northwest International Section (PNWIS) of the Air and Waste Management Association Conference held in Juneau, Alaska. Their presentation, Strategic State and Federal Permitting for USEPA-Directed Dredging and Disposal of Seafood Waste in Alaska State Waters, discussed a recent approach to navigating the current challenges present in the state and federal permitting processes for the dredging and at-sea discharge of seafood waste that has accumulated on the sea floor. Jessi and Tessa presented a successful approach to collaboratively working with ADEC, USEPA, and USACE to secure the necessary Short-Term Water Quality Variance, Nationwide Permit, and project design and Waste Remediation Plan approvals.
