F|S Presents Arsenic In-situ Remediation Findings at 2010 Battelle Conference

Floyd|Snider presented results from in situ treatment of arsenic in groundwater at the Battelle International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds, in Monterey, California. Brett Beaulieu, a F|S hydrogeologist, presented preliminary findings following full-scale in situ reductive precipitation treatment to remediate a multi-acre arsenic plume at the B&L Woodwaste Site in Pierce County, WA. In situ treatment of the leading edges of the plume is part of a remediation strategy designed to protect downgradient receptors in the short term while containment of the source area and extraction of the remainder of the plume are applied over the long term.
