Jason Taylor Presents at the Washington URISA Conference

Floyd|Snider GIS/database expert, Jason Taylor, presented at the Washington URISA Conference on May 14, 2014. He spoke on two topics: batch processing surface weighted average concentration (SWAC) analysis and a method to perform raster calculations using Python dictionaries. His first topic discussed the SWAC analysis process, which is becoming an important component to understanding the effects of sediment remediation on sites. Presently, Floyd|Snider is tasked with producing such work and Jason has developed several tools regarding the automation of this time-consuming process. His other topic discussed how Python dictionaries can be used to perform raster math, a process that is important in comparing various surface datasets.
