Jessi Massingale Presents at 20th Annual CERCLA/MTCA Sediment Remediation Conference

Floyd|Snider Principal Jessi Massingale, PE, presented at this year’s Advanced Conference for CERCLA/MTCA Sediment Remediation. Her presentation, “Thea Foss and Wheeler-Osgood Waterways Superfund Site: Approach to Long-Term Monitoring with Ubiquitous Urban Contaminants,” provided an overview of our on-going work with the City of Tacoma for Long-Term Monitoring of the Thea Foss and Wheeler-Osgood Waterways cleanup. The talk presented how, in collaboration with USEPA, we have successfully demonstrated that the remedy remains protective and continues to function effectively. Our work has led to close-out of the Superfund site remedial actions 12 years post-remedial construction completion. Aspects of the project that are applicable to other urban waterway sediment cleanup sites were also presented. Floyd|Snider was the prime environmental consultant for the remedial action construction and has since overseen remedial monitoring and is now completing preparation of the Remedial Action Report.
