Port of Tacoma Contracts F|S for Environmental Support to the Pier 4 Reconfiguration Project

Floyd|Snider was recently contracted by the Port of Tacoma (Port) to assist in the permitting and cutback characterization of the Pier 4 Reconfiguration Project. As part of the Port’s redevelopment of the General Central Peninsula (GCP) terminal complex, Pier 4 will be reconfigured to be in alignment with the upgraded Pier 3. The project includes the need to cut back the existing bank to accommodate the pier reconfiguration. Floyd|Snider will be working with the Port, the engineering design team led by KPFF, and regulatory permitting agencies, including the Dredge Material Management Program (DMMP), to secure permits for the in-water demolition and reconstruction of a new Pier 4.
