essa Gardner-Brown volunteered alongside teaming partner Confluence Environmental Company at the first annual Fall Fundraiser for the Mid-Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group. Tessa worked at the event’s oyster bar, shucking Shigoku and Kumamoto oysters, sustainably harvested from waters of the Puget Sound. The fundraiser provides support to the Mid-Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group, whose mission is to restore streams and near-shore habitat in our region, which provides benefit to salmon and other aquatic species.
