Recipients of The Association of General Contractors (AGC) Build Washington Award; and The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Washington National Gold Award for Water Resources.

The Vigor Shipyards Habitat Restoration Project has been recognized by both The Association of General Contractors (AGC) Build Washington Award; and The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Washington National Gold Award for Water Resources.

Floyd|Snider and KPFF Consulting Engineers led the design team for the project, assisted by J.A. Brennan Associates, Landscape Architects.  The design team worked closely with Vigor Shipyards staff and general contractor Orion Marine Group to complete the project in 2023.  The project was conducted under consent decree with federal agencies and local tribal governments, to demolish outdated infrastructure and convert 10% of the active shipyard facility into a thriving aquatic habitat supporting juvenile salmon health at a key location in the Duwamish River estuary. The project also constructed new shipyard infrastructure for drydock moorage and access.
