Overview of Floyd|Snider Contributions
Seattle City Light Conceptual Site Model. Floyd|Snider prepared an Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis for Seattle City Light to evaluate the nature and extent of contamination at the project site, access potential human health and ecological risk, and evaluate removal alternatives. The team developed a conceptual site model to graphically represent current conditions that affect how chemical contaminants have been released and are transported in the environment.
ASTM Refined Development Process Conceptual Site Model. The Floyd|Snider team developed conceptual site model graphics for ASTM International’s Standard Guide for Contaminated Sediment Site Risk-Based Corrective Action. This refined example features relevant human and ecological receptors and builds on an earlier Initial Site Assessment model to include additional potential sources of contamination.
School STEM Volunteering Environmental Cleanup Board. Floyd|Snider staff created a series of environmental educational materials to be used in a local elementary school. Through graphics and hands-on activities, students learned about delineation of contamination, potential exposure pathways, and remedial design alternatives.
City of Bothell Ultra Custom Care Construction Remediation Interpretive Sign. The Floyd|Snider team supported the City of Bothell with interpretive signage to describe the process to cleanup soil contamination within their downtown core district. Community members could review the sign while construction was occurring, providing a deeper understanding of the work being performed.
SSA Terminals Spill Response Procedures Banner. The Floyd|Snider team developed Standard Operating Procedure safety signage for indoor and outdoor display at SSA Terminals (Seattle Terminals), LLC (SSAT) as part of its stormwater pollution prevention program under the Industrial Stormwater General Permit. Learn more about SSAT’s stormwater management at the Port of Seattle’s Terminal 18.
Deschutes Estuary Restoration Project Governor’s Fact Sheet. As the engagement lead for the Deschutes Estuary Restoration Project, Floyd|Snider has developed a series of factsheets. Some provide project overviews for public use, while others, such as this one, are geared toward decisions-makers who determine legislative funding and support of the project.

Capitol Lake – Deschutes Estuary Long Term Management Project Environmental Impact Statement Excerpts. Floyd|Snider worked with the agency client to develop an accessible and user-friendly EIS report template with engaging graphics and detailed process maps. Additional work for the project included creation of informational kiosks, mailers and newsletters, and public presentations. Learn more about the next phase of the project—estuary restoration.
